Partners in the North American Free Trade Agreement are putting more of their cargo on trucks, according to new statistics released by the U.S. Department of Transportation.

Nearly three-fifths of all U.S.-NAFTA traded goods were carried by truck in February 2014. Trucks ferried $25.8 billion worth of imports from Canada and Mexico and delivered $27.8 billion in exports, according to the DOT's Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

Truck shipping across borders grew by almost three percent in the beginning of 2014, the highest increase of all modes of transportation.

As fleets handle more cargo, it's increasingly important that critical shipping communication and information arrives safely and on time. Fax over IP services can make sure that happens while improving supply chain efficiency and giving drivers peace of mind. Faxes sent with FoIP are accessible from anywhere with an Internet connection, making them easy to find and receive. Sent messages are also saved on carrier's private server, creating a searchable archive of documents that can be retained  for later reference.

Because FoIP utilizes the Internet, faxes are sent quickly, eliminating lag time and confusion between parties. Information is stored in the cloud on an encrypted server, protecting against data breaches and theft.

Enhance enterprise and fleet communication, collaboration and compliance efforts with a proven FoIP solution from FaxCore. Contact FaxCore today to learn more about their 'Partly-Cloudy' fax solutions.
